I recently visited Domain and had a great experience. The leasing staff is very friendly and was quick to help. The apartments are beautiful and very modern, very well laid out as well. They have a beautiful pool and a great gym for an apartment complex. Overall it looks like a great place to live.
Updated review - I’ve been here for going on 2 years now. I’m so tired of this place.
Management changed and the new management/leasing office is very difficult to deal with. They don’t do much other than collect rent (rent is paid online for most part so even that is debatable). They will not help with resident issues and expect residents to handle everything themselves.
Package theft has gotten to a more ridiculous level than before (this has always been an issue) but now it feels like nothing is ever delivered correctly. Leasing office does not help with these issues, you have to deal with the carriers yourself or depending on how big the item is, deal with police yourself (which prob won’t go anywhere). If you inform the leasing office of a missing item or ask about a package they’ll just say “we can’t do anything” and to deal with carrier yourself. So be prepared to talk to a lot of customer service people to get your packages sent again and be prepared to risk your Amazon account being frozen from the amount of returns you’ll have to do. Leasing office will literally use any excuse to not help you. The garage door opener/key fob always stops working and they’ll never know how to actually fix it.
In general, I like the apartments because they’re big and spacious. Noise isn’t bad here, it’s pretty quiet. You will live peacefully if you don’t have to interact with the leasing office or as long as you don’t have anything shipped to you.
11/8 update: there has been a weird shrill alarm ringing since Sunday. It has been ringing all hours, it’s not clear if it’s from domain or a surrounding building but domain has done nothing to mitigate it. On 11/6 it rang from 6 PM to about 2 AM. 11/7 I noticed it when I got home at 5:30, and today 11/8 it started again at around 10:15 am. I’ve called domain and the emergency maintenance line many times with no answer, ive emailed about and while email was answered, nothing has been done.
11/9 update: alarm is still not resolved and I added videos of different times and days of this alarm occurring. It’s more frequent but this is what I could capture. Google trimmed one video that was 4 min of straight ringing down to 30 seconds.
I toured Domain recently and really loved the apartments. Cameron in the office was helpful and friendly. He made sure I saw everything I wanted to see and was honest when answering my questions. The apartments themselves are spacious and look really nice. Definitely one of my top choices in the area.
I live here for about two years, this place is NOT SAFE to live, the area looks very nice but my stuff gets stolen very often, packages have about 30% chance to get stolen, storage room 100% chance to get stolen, one time package left by front door, I went to the door within 5 minutes and it’s gone, the management basically doesn’t exist, they collect rent and fix things in your apartment, that’s all. If you tell them about anything stolen anything got broken into, they will not do anything, you’ll have to file police report, I used to live near Inglewood in LA, this apartment is way more sketchy than that, avoid this place and thank me later!
This review is regarding Arturo only. Regarding the rest of my experience here, I will review later, after I move out - eventually.
Arturo is a great maintenance worker. Since the beginning, every time I have a problem in my unit, I put a work request and he is here very soon. He is always nice, energetic and he solves the issues right away, fast (when possible, of course), keeps everything clean and he is always very friendly and respectful.
Thank you Domain, for having Arturo in your team. It makes a huge difference.
My time at Domain apartment complex has been disappointing. It is even more disappointing that 5 star reviews are being left by the office staff- Kane. Despite being marketed as luxury living, it's clear that appearances are the only luxury feature. The spa consistently has issues, and the pool isn't heated as promised. The clubhouse is often noisy at night with kids and dogs, disturbing the peace. Residents frequently smoke in their apartments, leading to unpleasant smells in the hallways.
Maintenance is lacking, with urine stains and sometimes animal feces in the hallways due to irresponsible pet owners. Upstairs neighbors are consistently loud late into the night, and security doesn't respond to complaints. The initial excellent treatment and quick responses from Domain drastically change once you're a signed tenant. My move-in day was a mess, with an unclean apartment and pet urine stains on the balcony.
Other aspects are equally disappointing—trash rooms are dirty, hallways smell of marij**na, and my convertible top was deliberately cut in the parking garage. The shared water bill is surprisingly expensive. Additionally, neighboring buildings frequently have late-night fire alarms, disrupting our sleep. Kane in the front office, is not helpful, comes off as conceited. Irina, though kind, falls short in her role.
Overall, the gap between advertised luxury and the reality of living at Domain is significant, and it has been a far from pleasant experience.
We have been living here for 8 months now and we can't wait to get out of here! This is the most irresponsible complex, the problems are solved very long and poorly, the garage is dirty, it drowns, the corridors are dirty, the management as …
Worst property managers in existence. They don't care about the tenants, threaten to evict people due to their own system errors, take weeks to make simple repairs, squeeze you for every penny they can with bogus charges they refuse to …
